I use my patches much like I would a pedalboard. I'm hoping that I maybe just tracked them too hot (I'm new to Reaper so I have a lot in the air getting oriented), but was wondering if it might be some other issue?Īnyone using Reaper have a better way to set this up? I'd like to be able to record a dry track for reamping, but I'm not seeing how to do that in Reaper's audio preferences. This worked fine, but when I listen back to my guitar tracks, they're filled with little snaps and crackles. Setting the i/o in Reaper was a bit confusing, but I ended up making an aggregate device with the Axe as input, Mackie as output. Fine.so I set it up to track with the Axe's USB. That's definitely happening in Reaper, seems like the Blackjack doesn't play well with Reaper. Here's my set-up:Ī slightly older Macbook (2.4ghz Intel Core 2 duo, OS 10.5.8)įirst issue that I ran into is bad crackling/noise when trying to run the XLRs of the Axe to record through the Mackie.
